Featured Website Design of the Week: 6/27/19

June 27, 2019

AXIS International Academy in Fort Collins, CO is Edlio’s site of the week! I love the fact that visitors have language options in the top right corner of the website. Most languages are available, and the three in bold (Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese) all relate to the school curriculum. This feature makes the site very accessible for a variety of people. On the home page under “Welcome to AXIS Academy!” is a description that contains information about the school and curriculum. This section describes the unique curriculum of the school, and I really like that it is the first section visitors will see. I also really love the “School Calendar” section found under “Parents”. This section not only includes a preview of the upcoming school year calendar, but it has the bell schedule for both Preschool, K-5 Grade, and Home School AND a separate list of all upcoming events. I especially like that they included this section under “Parents” because it is very helpful for parents who are looking for information regarding events or the schedule.

On the home page, you will see the title “Mission Statement” with a description beneath it. I love that this is on the home page because as soon as someone visits the site, they can read about the school’s mission and why it is so special.

About Caroline

My name is Caroline Bradkin, and I am a seventeen year-old high school senior at Palisades Charter High School. I am the Director of Communications for Palisades DECA, a program that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in various aspects of business. I am also the founder of the Board Games Club, a club dedicated to limiting technology use and teaching younger kids how to play games. I also cheer for my high school varsity cheer team and have been since my sophomore year. When I am not at school, I enjoy volunteering at NKLA, a no-kill animal shelter in Los Angeles. I am joining Edlio this summer through The Intern Project (TIP) as a marketing intern. After high school, I plan on pursuing a career in marketing or communications.
