Sitting in a classroom for eight hours a day, five days a week is a long and draining schedule.  So, naturally, as students, we tend to zone out during the lesson, which may cause us to miss vital information for future assignments.  But, thanks to a new online classroom platform Learnamic, catching up on missed information just became much easier.

What is Learnamic?

Learnamic is an online classroom platform that offers hundreds of free and paid learning materials.  Learnamic allows you to search hundreds of sites to find the right learning resource for you based upon subject, format, grade level, cost, and more.  With the rapid digitalization of education, Learnamic strives to offer students, parents, and even teachers a cost-efficient way to access thousands of learning resources outside of the classroom.

Learnamic and students

For students of all ages, having access to learning materials outside of the classroom is essential to knowledge retention and understanding.  Not only does Learnamic offer classes on all core subjects for all grade levels, but it also offers extracurricular learning resources such as art, music, computer science, and business classes.  Learnamic offers students learning materials to help them optimize their education by exploring more subjects than what is discussed in school. In conjunction with existing websites for schools, Learnamic is beneficial for students like me because it provides us with additional resources that our school’s website may lack.  With Learnamic we have access to thousands of educational resources to help us succeed academically both in a traditional classroom setting and at home.

Learnamic and teachers

Learnamic is not just an additional resource for students, but it can act as an additional resource for teachers as well.  Learnamic offers teachers fun and interesting ways to keep their students engaged in class, such as video lessons, audio lessons, and subject related games.  Teachers can use Leranamic as an alternate teaching resource to ensure that students are fully understanding the lessons covered in class. Teachers can incorporate Learnamic into their curriculums by taking the time in class to play one of the educational games, or by including an entertaining video clip when explaining a concept.  Learnamic also allows teachers to cater to students who may be visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners which means that more students’ learning needs can be met than with just traditional teaching.

Learnamic and parents

Learnamic is also a beneficial tool for parents to use whether they are homeschooling their children, or just assisting them with homework.  This online resource allows parents to be more involved with their child’s education because they can use Learnamic to become more informed about the work their child is doing in the classroom.  It is not uncommon for parents to be confused when their child asks for help with a homework assignment because of the new common core standards that are drastically different from the way they were taught.  So, Learnamic is essentially “teaching” parents so that they are better able to aid their children at home. In addition to helping their children, parents can also take some classes themselves because Learnamic offers courses specifically for college students and adults.

Learnamic and websites for schools

When it comes to websites for schools, it is usually safe to assume that every resource needed can be found on that site.  Learnamic would be a significant asset to any school website because it offers students and parents methods to incorporate academic lessons into their homes.  During the school year, Learnamic can be easily accessed from the school’s website to assist students with homework and studying for exams. But, Learnamic can also be utilized during the summer so that students can better retain the information that they learned throughout the year, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Overall Learnamic review

Learnamic is still a fairly new resource but I think that its educational benefits are evident.  This website allows students, parents, and teachers to expand their academic resource pool as well as improve their abilities to understand and teach the knowledge gained in a school classroom.  Having access to learning materials outside of school makes it much easier for us as students to stay in control of our education and ensure that we are retaining and comprehending everything we learn in school. I also believe that Learnamic would be an important resource to include on websites for schools because it shows that the school is offering their students every possible resource to make sure that they succeed.  Learnamic is an easy to maneuver and cost efficient website that all students, parents, faculty, and school districts should be aware of because it provides everyone with more access to education and learning materials that they might not have had previously.
