Holding a position of leadership for a school or district requires one to wear many different hats and hold a variety of different responsibilities. One of the most important responsibilities is ensuring that a school is properly connected with parents and the surrounding community. It can be difficult to make this a priority when the main goal is always providing each student with a great education, but support from parents and the community provide a school with the motivation, resources, and involvement necessary for the school to stand apart.

Edlio focuses on school communication solutions for a variety of reasons; however, one of the reasons we work hard to design innovative CMS for schools is so that this connection with the community can be streamlined and simplified. This being said, we are so excited to announce that Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 in Illinois is a winner of the Communications Contest held by the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA). The school’s Perspective newsletter also won an award! The website received the award by ranking high in categories such as encouragement of return visits, easy of use, frequency of updates, and consistency.

We’re so excited for Evergreen Park for being recognized for their efforts to connect to their community through their website and newsletter. This award is also a great example of how an award winning school website can promote your school’s brand. It is obvious to anyone who visits this school’s site that the teachers and administrators are passionate about their school and the students they teach. It is also obvious that Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 works hard at everything they do for their students, including providing parents and the community with the best school website.

Congratulations once again to Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124, and if you would like to check out more of their site you can visit it here!
