Featured Website Design of the Week: 09/26/19

September 26, 2019

Hemet Unified School District in California is Edlio's site of the week! This fresh redesign features beautiful social posts and a new layout for increased engagement! Not only does our team love the new design, but we also appreciate the initiatives that the district has taken to help unleash the website’s full potential.

On the homepage, sections are clearly defined using color blocking and symmetrical shapes. This helps visitors easily navigate the site to find what they’re looking for. Scrolling down, you’ll notice that Hemet USD has actually embedded the district’s Twitter and Facebook feeds into the website to show likes and comments. Not only does this encourage visitors to engage with the content, but it also gives the site a more professional feel without taking away from the user-friendliness. We love how the district has taken this feature above and beyond by promoting “Faculty Focus Friday” and their awesome school lunches.

Continuing to scroll down the homepage, this redesigned site now provides a variety of navigation paths for different stakeholders.

The district’s website is often the first place someone will go when trying to find out more information. Whether you’re a member of the community, a concerned parent, or a current student, this menu was designed to easily help you navigate the website and find what you need. We also appreciate how this feature continues over to each of the individual school websites as well.
