The Design Agent is an AI-powered visual design tool that lets school administrators create and customize their website homepages through natural language conversation.

Instead of drag-and-drop editors or form fields, users describe what they want in natural language and the agent applies changes, updating the design files

The agent understands the existing website design and structural elements, ensuring any changes maintain the functionality and accessibility of the site
Live Preview:
Users see the changes applied to a preview version of the site in real-time, so they can review and iterate until they are ready to publish
Native to Edlio CMS:
The Design Agent provides a seamless experience for Edlio CMS users while accessing the agent through the dashboard opens the design environment

What exactly is an "agent" vs. regular AI?
General AI implies a simple input/output exchange. An agent implies memory, autonomy, multiple skills/tools, and the ability to take multi-step actions. When Edlio calls something an agent, it means the AI can understand context, maintain state across a conversation, and execute multiple changes in sequence, not just respond to a single prompt.

How does the Design Agent know what's on my current site?
The Design Agent has access to the school's existing Edlio CMS content and design context. It reads the current homepage structure and uses this as the baseline for any changes described by the admin, with no manual re-entry or duplicate setup required.
What happens to the rest of the site when the Design Agent makes homepage changes?
The Design Agent is designed to maintain consistency across the site. Visual or layout changes to the homepage do not break internal pages or site-wide navigation.
